image - linear illustration

another one by andre beato.
Very relevant to the sort of thing i would like to create for this brief, lots of swirls and circle building up and illustration, very linear.

Planning on taking a more linear approach to this weeks brief, something heavily influenced by this persons art.
The brief states we can only use 2 colours + stock so i think this style would work really well.
He seems to have a really unique approach to illustration, just lots of shapes and lines all joined together to make a figure, works really well.

image - eye tests.

Looking at some eye test charts to get an idea of the layout they usually follow.
Not a very interesting layout but i feel it could work really well for my outcome,
using a linear illustrations have the whole page and each illustration made from one line.
The was the first letter is massive would transfer well with illustration, having the first one really detailed then slowly loosing details as they get smaller and smaller.

Mcbess.
Mcbess is one of my favourite illustrators and one thing i have always noticed with his illustration work is the beautiful type he uses with it.
Just really finishes off the piece perfectly, really nice calligraphy style.

Adam Romuald KÅ‚odecki
Found another brilliant calligraphy video,
this guy is crazy, he's got his style perfected so well that it seems he is pretty much just free styling it onto the wall, each flick of the rist just perfect.

Looking at some more type as image, kind of calligraphy.
This is a style more similar to what i'd hope to create,
more illustrative than calligraphy,  the outcomes still really crisp though.

Really like the way his letter extend into each other to give the over all piece a nice flow.

Luca Barcellona

Planned on focussing on calligraphy for one of my type as image outcomes, been really into calligraphy these days and wanted to start attempting to master the art of it.
Here is some calligraphy from one of the best (Luca Barcellona).
This style of type really baffles me, tried to do it so many times but i just cant seem to bring the ideas that i have in my head to paper, the way this guy manages to get a perfect flick on the end of every stroke really finishes off each letter beautifully.
