No news is good news. research.

Here is the work that I have conducted over the first reading week in response to the No News Is Good News Brief
We had to purchase a newspaper on Saturday the 23rd of October, the newspaper which i purchased was the Daily Mail, and conduct research on a chosen headline.
After reading through the newspaper I chose i few headlines which i found interesting to look into to further, these were the chosen ones.
This headline i though would be quite interesting to look into as it is a subject that i am quite interested in and i felt i could go into allot of depth with it.

I just like the idea of this old upper-class man mixing with gangsters, had a few ideas that came to my head on how i could illustrate this; however after reading into the article, i found it to be quite dull and I couldn't really go that far into researching it, not allot to look into.

I liked this headline because of the seriousness of it a top scientist dying in a horrific accident however just contrasted by the pun in the middle 'g-wiz' which i thought was allittle disrespectfull.

Just liked the story behind this, quite strange and exiting.

Ooop!, the one word headline, quite interesting.

I chose this one because of the visuals that came straight to my head after reading it for ways to illustrate the story.

This headline was quite interesting and controversial, would be good to look into because i feel allot of people would have strong opinions regarding this story.

After looking at each of these articles i decided to focus on the Wayne Rooney article.

I started by summerising the article looking at the keywords within it.

Here are 20 images which i found relating to my article, ranging from the topic of footballers getting paid too much in relationship to people living in poverty and the poor, also looking at footballers as role models and what the do to actually deserve this hight salary.

I then looked up some facts relating to my article, looking at footballers wages compared to average wage, and the money poor people such as homeless and people in poverty were living off.

As much as i hate going home to work from leeds every weekend, this weekend proved quite helpful because it was easy for me to gather people opinions on the article, i just asked around in the breakroom, showed them the headline and the article and asked them for their opinions on it. Here are the 20 opinions which i gathered.

This was quite interesting because i was able to gather a wide range of opinions on the articles, the majority of them being negative comments about the amount footballers get paid, i did receive a few interesting comments such as one person comparing the wage of Wayne Rooney to the wage of a British Solider, another saying that it is the fans fault for paying excessing amounts for season ticking and merchandise which in pretty much paying for these footballers ridiculous wages and another saying how it is not such a bad thing as the amount of tax that Wayne will be charged on this excessive wage is actually quite helpful in the long run going back into the government.

I also created a questionnaire which i handed out at work to gather further feedback and opinions of the article.
Here is the questionnaire which i created and the results i received.

I then summarised the results from the questionnaire to make the information easier to interpret.

I then looked for more information and facts comparing footballers wages in comparison to the average person in Britain, which helped me find some interesting facts and statistics.

I then found article which was quite interesting and helpful in the guardian which was basically about what i was researching, looking at how footballers wages can be justified.
Here is the article which i found. CLICK

Here are 20 which i feel summarise my research.
