minimalist typography

New Alphabet
Designed in 1967, the new alphabet only uses vertical and horizontal lines designed using a monospace grid with every letter the same width and height. The majority of letters are based on 9 by 5 unit grid with 45 degree slants used on certain corners. For me i dont really see it as being very legible letters such as the a j x and z looking nothing like the original letterforms, however somehow you can still read it with slight difficulty. The concept behind it is great however the output doesnt is illegible but I think with practice it could be just as legible as the normal one.
